MICROCHIP YOUR PET
The American Humane Association estimates over 10 million dogs and cats are lost or stolen in the U.S. every year. That means 1 in 3 pets will become lost at some point during their life (Petfinder.com).
Unlike a collar or tags, a microchip does not fall off or get lost. Get more information about micro chipping your pet here.

MICROCHIPPING WORKS!!
Jax's Homecoming
Microchips create happy endings!
Jax came to the Neenah Animal Shelter as a stray in January, after wandering around a local trucking company for about a week. Upon arrival he was scanned for a microchip and one was found. With a quick call to the microchip company we were in touch with his family.
Turns out Jax had been missing since September! His mom said he never goes outside and is known as a scaredy cat that often hides in the home. Jax was missing almost 5 months, but the story doesn't end there: his family lives in Eau Claire, WI! Both staff and his family are stumped on how a shy guy like him found his way across the state. His family didn't hesitate to plan a roadtrip to ensure he made it home safely.
This story warms our hearts and is a great reminder to never give up when a pet goes missing. Don't limit yourself in searching!
If your pet is microchipped please check that all contact information is current. And, if your pet is not microchipped, please make an appointment to do so!
