WILDLIFEIf the baby animal appears uninjured and out of harm’s way it is best to let them be! The majority of mothers leave their babies unattended while they search for food and to avoid detection from predators. More often than not, the baby is fine. Remember just because a baby is alone, does not mean it has been abandoned.
If the baby is hurt or you know it has been abandoned, follow the links below for tips on how to help. Remember, it is illegal in WI to house wildlife unless you are a license rehabilitator. Also, the Neenah Animal Shelter is not equipped or licensed to care for wildlife, so please, reach out to the experts. HSUS: Found an orphaned or injured baby wild animal?
